SCUBA Instruction and Underwater Photography

A Little More About Me
My name is Kristen, and I am currently a marine biologist in the Caribbean. However, my SCUBA journey began in the chilly waters of a Michigan pond over 10 years ago. Since then I have dove in over 20 different countries, became a SCUBA instructor (7 years ago!), and taught nearly 400 people.
A little over a year ago, I took a break from teaching to move from one island to another and to further my career as a marine biologist. However, the itch to teach never went away and after some encouragement from previous students, I jumped back into teaching as an independent instructor. Everyday, I continue to find new ways to merge both of my worlds (marine conservation and SCUBA instruction). I love to share my experiences and knowledge of SCUBA and everything under the sea. Reach out to learn more or, better yet, come take a dive with me!

Other things I enjoy beyond diving include photography both underwater and above the water, surfing, hiking, freediving and painting. Living a more sustainable life style is also extremely important to me because I see everyday the effects of our waste on marine life. To attempt to achieve that I have created my own hydroponic system which grows lettuce, basil, kale and tomatoes. I am an open book, please ask me anything!
